The dishwasher is not getting enough water to fill the tub.
What 4C means.
4C is a water supply fault. The dishwasher tried to fill and the control did not see the tub reach its water level in time. The fault sits between the house supply and the tub, so a closed supply valve, a kinked inlet hose, a clogged inlet screen, or a failed water inlet valve all show 4C. The cycle pauses because the dishwasher cannot wash without water.

Open the supply valve fully and confirm strong pressure at the kitchen tap.

Pull the dishwasher forward gently and straighten any kink in the inlet hose.

Shut the water off and clear the inlet screen of grit.

Run a cycle and listen for the fill.

If 4C stays with the supply open, the inlet valve needs testing.
