Laguna Beach splits between high-end built-in kitchens, common in Three Arch Bay, Emerald Bay, Top of the World, Mystic Hills, and the bluff-side homes, and the older mid-century housing stock in North Laguna and Bluebird Canyon. The two halves see different failure patterns.

In the gated and bluff-side homes, Sub-Zero condenser coil corrosion is the dominant recurring issue. Coastal air is harder on those coils here than anywhere else in our service area. We also see Wolf bake-element burnouts on the higher-use double-oven installs, and Thermador refrigerator fan-motor failures.

In the older North Laguna and Bluebird Canyon homes, we see more Whirlpool drum-bearing failures on aging front-load laundry pairs and GE ice-maker assemblies that have lived past their useful life.

We carry the common parts for all of these on every truck. Most Laguna calls finish on the first visit. Same & next-day appointments are usual when you book before 11 AM. Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on parts and labor, written, not verbal.

How long does it take a technician to reach Laguna Beach?
Most Laguna calls get a same-day window when booked before 11 AM. Drive time from Corona del Mar is fifteen to twenty minutes to North Laguna and twenty-five to South Laguna and the Three Arch Bay / Emerald Bay communities. Hillside addresses may add a few minutes.
Do you service the high-end built-ins in Three Arch Bay and Emerald Bay?
Yes. Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, and Viking are the dominant brands in those gated communities. We're not factory-authorized for any of them (see below), but we service them daily and stock the common parts on our trucks.
Coastal air corrosion: does it affect Laguna appliances?
Significantly. North Laguna and the bluff-side homes in Top of the World, Arch Beach Heights, and Mystic Hills see faster corrosion on refrigerator condenser coils, ice-maker water valves, and any exterior-installed water fittings. We see those failures earlier on Laguna calls than inland.
Are you factory-authorized for Sub-Zero or Wolf?
No. We are not factory-authorized and not affiliated with Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, or Viking. We service these brands because we've invested in the parts inventory, the diagnostic tools, and the in-home repair history across Laguna Beach kitchens.
Do you handle the older mid-century homes in North Laguna?
Yes. A lot of the original North Laguna and Bluebird Canyon homes still run 20-30 year-old Whirlpool, GE, and KitchenAid units. We'll repair them when it's worth it and tell you honestly when it isn't.

  • Our ice maker in our GE Profile refrigerator stopped working. We contacted several vendors through Yelp and Esquire was quick to respond and were able to come out the next day. Our ice maker was back up and running right away! They were able to buy the proper part and install it all in one day. They were courteous and reasonably priced. I couldn't be more pleased with how it went.
