The control has detected a user interface or button input fault.
What F2 E2 means.
F2 E2 points to the user interface, the touchpad and button panel that sends commands to the control board. The code fires when the control reads a button as stuck or sees no valid signal from the panel. A worn touchpad membrane, a damp control housing, or a loose ribbon connector are the usual causes. The dishwasher may ignore button presses or start on its own. The fault sits in the door, where the panel and its wiring live.
