Thermador kitchens tend to come as a package: the Pro Grand or Pro Harmony range, a Star-burner cooktop, a Sapphire or Emerald dishwasher, and a Freedom column fridge or freezer. When one of those pieces breaks, the household usually wants the same shop to handle whatever else might be next. The trick with Thermador is knowing which subsystem failed: the Star burner geometry is unique, the dishwashers share a platform with Bosch, and the columns are built to refrigerate hard but throw specific service codes when they can’t.

Issues we work on across the Thermador lineup

• Star burner won’t light evenly. The Star burner’s four-point flame pattern is sensitive to a worn igniter or a clogged port. We clean the burner, test the igniter, and check the spark module if a single burner is the problem versus all of them.
• Pro Grand oven heats slowly or trips a code. Bake or broil element failure, a tired convection fan motor, or the oven temp sensor reading out of range. Service codes like E101 / E124 point us at the control board’s sensor circuit.
• Sapphire/Emerald dishwasher won’t drain or shows a leak code. Drain pump, check valve, or a leak sensor in the base pan that’s triggered. Thermador dishwashers share the Bosch platform, so error codes E15 and E24 are diagnosed the same way.
• Freedom column fridge runs warm. The evaporator fan motor, the variable-speed compressor, or the inverter board on the column refrigerator. Filter alerts and door-alarm beeping are separate, smaller fixes.

OEM parts

Star burner igniters, gas valves, drain pumps, oven sensors, and column-fridge evaporator parts are OEM through BSH (Thermador’s parent). Most parts arrive in 1-3 business days; column-fridge inverters can occasionally need a week.
