What PO means.
PO on a Maytag upright freezer works identically to its Whirlpool sibling: it flags that the unit lost power long enough for the cabinet to rise above 18 degrees. The display reads "PO" and an alert tone sounds three times. PO is informational: it tells you to check the contents before assuming everything is safe.
