The cooling fan or airflow path has a fault.
What E8 means.
E8 on a Thermador induction cooktop is a cooling fan fault. The control runs a fan to keep the element electronics cool and has not confirmed the fan is turning correctly. A failed fan motor, debris in the fan, or a blocked vent all cause this. The cooktop may limit power until the fan is working.
