The dishwasher is not filling with water within the allowed time.
What IE means.
IE stands for an inlet error. The dishwasher tried to fill the tub and the water level did not rise as expected. The fault sits between the house supply and the tub, so a closed supply valve, a kinked inlet hose, a clogged inlet screen, or a failed water inlet valve all show IE. Low household water pressure can produce it too. The cycle pauses because the dishwasher cannot wash without water.
