The water temperature sensor is reading out of range.
What tE means.
tE stands for a temperature error. The thermistor that tracks wash water heat has returned a reading the control cannot accept. The fault usually means the sensor or its wiring has failed, though a heating element that is not warming the water can also push the reading out of range. The dishwasher may stretch the cycle or skip its heated steps. The sensor sits in the tub sump.
