Power failure indicator. The freezer lost power and the cabinet may have warmed.
What PF means.
PF on a GE freezer stands for "Power Failure." This is not a fault code. It is the controller telling you that power was interrupted and frozen food may have warmed. GE units flash PF along with a beep until you acknowledge it. The most useful information PF gives you is to check the contents before assuming everything is safe. A 30-minute outage is fine, but a multi-hour outage may have soft-thawed everything in the cabinet.
