What F9 means.
F9 on an Amana oven points at the door lock system. The control sends the latch a command and waits for a switch to confirm the door is locked or unlocked. When the confirmation does not arrive the code posts. It shows up most often after self-clean, when the latch motor or switches fail to move the lock all the way.
