Open thermistor. The freezer temperature sensor is disconnected or the door is truly open.
What OP means.
OP on the freezer temperature display can mean two things. If the freezer door is genuinely open, OP is the controller telling you to close it. This is common on Frigidaire side-by-sides where the door switch is sensitive. If the door is closed and OP still shows, the freezer temperature sensor has gone open-circuit (failed or wire disconnected). Without the sensor the controller cannot manage freezer temperature accurately and falls back to a backup duty cycle.

Connector at the back of the freezer corroded.

Confirm the freezer door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing.

Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, restore power.

If OP returns within an hour with the door closed, the sensor or wiring needs service.

Watch for frost forming on items along the rear wall. That confirms sensor failure.
