What SY CE means.
SY CE on a Frigidaire (closely related to "CE" on its own) is a communication error between the electronic control board (back of unit) and the user interface (front panel). They talk over a wire harness, and that harness is the most common failure point because it flexes every time the door opens. Once SY CE logs, the display goes blank or shows random characters, but the fridge usually keeps cooling on its last known settings.
