The door or lid is not detected as locked, so the cycle will not start.
What dE means.
dE means the control cannot confirm the door is shut and latched. A wash cannot run with an open door, so the washer holds and posts dE. On front-load LG models the door lock assembly or its wiring is the usual cause. A worn strike, a bent latch, or laundry caught in the seal can also keep the door from closing fully.
