LG Washer Error Code LE

The motor is locked or overloaded and the drum cannot turn.
What LE means.
LE points to the drive motor. The control board calls for the drum to spin but the Hall sensor reports no rotation, so the washer stops and posts the code. On direct-drive LG models this often traces to the rotor and stator assembly, the Hall sensor itself, or a load heavy enough to stall the motor. A failing main control board can also throw LE when it misreads the motor feedback.

Try this first: safe DIY troubleshooting.

Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the control board.

Open the door and remove about half the laundry, then redistribute the rest.

Spin the empty drum by hand to feel for binding or a foreign object.

Run a rinse and spin cycle to see if the code returns.

Check that the washer is not pushed tight against a wall, which can pinch the rear wiring.
