An induction element has overheated.
What E1 means.
E1 on a Samsung induction cooktop means an element or its electronics ran too hot and power was cut to protect the cooktop. An empty pan boiled dry, a blocked cooling vent, or a weak cooling fan can all push the temperature past the limit. The code may clear once the element cools, but a repeat E1 points at the fan or airflow.
