The dryer is missing one leg of its 240V supply and will not heat.
What L2 means.
L2 on an Amana dryer means the control has power but is not getting the second 240V leg the heater needs. The drum can turn while the dryer never heats. A tripped half of the double-pole breaker, a blown fuse on one leg, or a damaged cord or outlet all cause it. Because the fault is in the 240V supply, the outlet and breaker work belongs with an electrician.
