What H1 means.
H1 on a Frigidaire freezer flags a high-temperature alarm. The cabinet has stayed above the target frozen temperature long enough for the controller to flag a food-safety risk. H1 is a symptom code: it tells you the freezer is warm but not why. The most common causes are a door left open, a recent power outage, dirty condenser coils, or a defrost or fan component that has failed.

Confirm the door is fully closed and the gasket seals all the way around.

Vacuum the condenser coils at the rear or the toe-kick.

Press the alarm-acknowledge button once to silence the tone.

Watch for 4 hours. Temperature should fall back below 0 degrees if the system is healthy.
