Parts communication error. The main board has lost contact with a peripheral module.
What PC-ER means.
PC-ER is a parts-communication error on Dacor and Samsung-family units. The main control board talks to the display module, ice maker, and sometimes a separate dispenser board over a 2-wire serial bus. When PC-ER logs, one of those peripherals has stopped responding or the bus itself is shorted. The most common cause is a wet ice-maker connector after a slow drip from the water line.

Ice maker harness wet from a slow water-line leak.

Display module ribbon cable unseated.

Dispenser board failed.

Main control board failed (less common).
Try this first: safe DIY troubleshooting.

Unplug for 5 minutes to reset.

Look at the ice-maker bay for moisture. Wipe down anything wet and let it dry for 24 hours.

Restore power. If PC-ER returns within 30 minutes, the harness or a board has failed.

Schedule service. Tracing the short requires panel removal.
