ERROR CODE · BOSCH DISHWASHER · ORANGE COUNTY
Bosch Dishwasher Error Code E15
Last updated:
The base safety float has detected water in the dishwasher base pan.
What E15 means.
E15 means the anti-flood switch in the base pan has tripped. Bosch dishwashers carry a polystyrene float in the bottom of the cabinet, and when water collects there the float rises and triggers the switch. The control then stops the cycle and runs the drain pump continuously to clear the leak. The code is a leak warning, not a sensor fault, so it points to a hose, seal, or pump joint that is letting water escape the tub. The dishwasher will usually keep posting E15 until the base is dry.
Most common causes.
-
Leak from a hose clamp, pump seal, or door gasket
-
Overfilled or overly sudsed tub from non-dishwasher detergent
-
Cracked or worn tub sump gasket
-
Loose connection at the water inlet or drain line
Try this first: safe DIY troubleshooting.
-
Turn off the dishwasher and shut the water supply valve under the sink.
-
Tilt the unit slightly or pull it forward so the base pan can drain and dry out.
-
Check under the sink and around the door for any visible water or detergent residue.
-
Confirm only dishwasher-rated detergent has been used, since dish soap causes overflow suds.
-
Restore power once the base is dry; if E15 returns, a leak source needs to be found.

Ivan is the only repairman I would ever trust with our appliances! We have used him 3 times (for our dryer, our dishwasher, and most recently our oven). We called him when our oven unexpectedly stopped working and he got us scheduled right away and had it fixed immediately! He is prompt, incredibly knowledgable, very friendly, reasonably priced, and honest! Look no further if you have any appliance repair needs! Thank you again Ivan!! - Kate

Our ice maker in our GE Profile refrigerator stopped working. We contacted several vendors through Yelp and Esquire was quick to respond and were able to come out the next day. Our ice maker was back up and running right away! They were able to buy the proper part and install it all in one day. They were courteous and reasonably priced. I couldn't be more pleased with how it went.
