What Er 1F (Er IF) means.
Er 1F (sometimes written Er IF because the LG firmware uses an uppercase I that looks like a 1) is one of the most common Kenmore Elite codes. It appears on the 795.xxx French door units that are built by LG. The code flags the ice maker fan circuit: the small fan that pulls cold air into the ice room has either stopped, iced over, or its wire harness has broken. Without that fan the ice room warms, the ice maker stops producing, and within a few weeks frost builds up around the ice compartment. Same fix as the LG version of this code.
